Lispolis launches the 2nd edition of the Lispolis Ignite accelerator programme in the area of HealthTech

Lispolis – Pólo Tecnológico de Lisboa, in partnership with HealthTech Lisboa, is launchinng the 2nd edition of Lispolis Ignite, an acceleration programme aimed at helping startups and entrepreneurs to develop their business models.

The Horizon Europe project Unite! Widening project, coordinated by the University of Lisbon, will be involved as a jury in the initiative, which is open to all entrepreneurial students, from Unite! Universities, with innovative projects or business ideas in the area of health.

Exclusive access to training sessions and specialised mentoring are some of the “ignites” of this edition, which focuses on the areas of Health and Technology, HealthTech.

The Lispolis Ignite accelerator programme is looking for start-ups in the health and technology fields at an early or expanding stage that are producing relevant work in the digital health, biotechnology, medical devices and other areas of the sector that use technology to solve health problems. The initiative, created by Lispolis for the second time, aims to once again attract 20 startups that want to scale their businesses and expand their networks in the area of HealľhTech.

Scheduled for 1, 3, 22 and 23 October, Lispolis Ignite will feature four intensive days of training where tools will be shared to boost business and structuring and decisive topics in this sector of activity will be addressed, such as Regulatory and Digital Health, Digital Transformation and Emerging Technologies in Health, Finance for Startups in Health and Structuring for Investments. After this phase of the programme, each startup will receive a grant of six hours of mentoring within the scope of their projects, for a period of two months.

The Demo Day is scheduled for 30 October, a final public presentation of the participating projects, attended by speakers, investors and experts from the sector.

Prizes:

      • The first pize: HealthTech Lisboa powered by Lispolis, worth 4,000 euros and 15 hours of mentoring provided by HealthTech Lisboa; 
      • The second prize, sponsored by SGS, worth 3,000 euros and 10 hours of mentoring from HealthTech Lisboa; 
      • The third prize, sponsored by CNS, worth 2,000 euros and 5 hours of mentoring from HealthTech Lisboa.
