Politecnico di Torino (Turin, Italy) is inviting researchers, professors and university staff dealing with doctoral education to participate in Unite! WIDENING Training: “Doctoral School International Impact and Attractiveness” (November 18–20, 2026).
This unique event provides an opportunity to:
- gain a solid understanding of the European framework for doctoral education;
- explore practical strategies to increase the internationalisation and attractiveness of doctoral programmes;
- learn from successful international models and strategic partnerships;
- strengthen collaboration with colleagues.
Format:
3-day in-person training (lunch-to-lunch)
The event will encompass training sessions, sharing of best practices, group work, workshops and networking moments.
Who should apply:
Researchers, professors and university staff dealing with doctoral education
To actively contribute to the workshop sessions, participants are expected to be familiar with their institution’s internationalisation strategy for doctoral education, including its current strengths, challenges, and strategic objectives, as these will form the basis for group discussions and the development of action plans.

Number of available slots for Wrocław Tech participants: 6
Number of available slots for each other Unite! University: 1 per Unite!Widening University.
Participation & costs:
Participation is free of charge.
For participants from ULisboa and Wrocław Tech, travel and accommodation are also covered following Unite!Widening rules for selected participants.
For other participants, travel and accommodation costs can be covered via other schemes such as Erasmus+.
