Later this year, the first call for short research visits (visiting chairs) at Unite! universities in non-Widening countries will be launched as part of the Unite.WIDENING project.
The initiative aims to strengthen scientific cooperation between Wrocław University of Science and Technology, University of Lisbon and the other universities in the alliance. The short-term mobility activities will include visiting chair stays at TU Darmstadt, TU Graz, Politecnico di Torino, Université Grenoble Alpes, UPC Barcelona, Aalto University and KTH. They will provide opportunities to exchange knowledge and experience, develop research skills and establish lasting scientific collaborations.
Researchers from Wrocław Tech and ULisboa holding at least a doctoral degree will be eligible to participate in the mobility activities. Visits will take place at a selected Unite! university in a non-Widening country and may last up to two weeks. Costs of travel and accommodation shall be financed by the project funds.
Applicants will be required to submit an application including a detailed work plan for the mobility period. The quality of the proposed research concept and the expected outcomes of the visit will be assessed. Priority will be given to early-career researchers, those conducting research in the project’s strategic areas and those actively involved in project activities.
The first call is planned for the end of 2026.
Detailed information on the application procedure, formal requirements and evaluation criteria will be published on the project website: unite-widening.eu.
