On June 17–18, 2026, academic leaders, university alliance representatives, and European policy experts met at the NCBR Brussels office for the Unite!Widening intermediate conference. Co-organized by Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the University of Lisbon, the two-day meeting focused on a central question: how European research policies can move beyond short-term cohesion instruments toward long-term institutional transformation.
From July 14 to 16, the vibrant academic environment of University of Lisbon will become a meeting point for innovation, collaboration, and international exchange through the Unite!Widening Summer School @ ULisboa: Innovation & Training Days. Bringing together researchers, PhD students, and university staff from across Europe, the initiative represents an important step toward strengthening the European research and innovation ecosystem.
The Unite!Widening has announced two exciting in-person initiatives hosted by the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Designed to boost research impact, elevate funding success, and foster international collaboration, these fully funded programs offer European researchers and administrative staff a chance to expand their networks and skills.
